- Oversee efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory programs such as Meaningful Use
- Conduct operations assessments in a wide range of areas, such as ambulatory and acute care, revenue cycle, pharmacy, and laboratory
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams to improve documentation, communication and efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the quality of patient care
- Look for ways to continually improve the speed, timeliness, and accuracy of patient charting
- Develop recommendations to enhance documentation and coding using advanced computer and information technologies
- Lead efforts to ensure uniformity with system design, build, training, and data migration
- Review and recommend enhancements to clinical processes, such as medication reconciliation, for clinicians working in ambulatory, emergency department, and inpatient settings
- Lead assessments of all clinical departments to determine functional system needs
- Facilitate development of integrated testing scenarios for clinical applications
- Document current and future workflows. Develop policies and procedures to streamline clinical, administrative, and financial processes
- Lead system enhancement projects that involve oversight of developing system requirements, conducting testing, leading training, and tracking issues
- Partner with our clients at all levels, teaching them what they need to know to carry forward the results of our work
- Manage issues and risks, and identify more ways we can collaborate and add value
What We Look for in You
We are seeking motivated, talented consultants to join our team; we have found that people with the following attributes tend to excel at Freed:
- A high degree of self-motivation, integrity, versatility, and flexibility
- Significant experience with all aspects of large cross-functional, transformational projects in healthcare
- Ability to lead others to deliver high quality and timely results
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Experience and comfort working with all levels of an organization, including physicians, nurses, other caregivers, and management
- Experience with commonly used systems such as EPIC, Cerner, NextGen, McKesson, or Meditech is a plus
- Although most of our assignments are near our consultants’ homes, limited travel on the West Coast may be required, usually less than a two-hour flight
- Bachelor’s degree required. A master’s degree, RN or other clinical expertise, PMP or Six Sigma Certification is a plus
