Freed Associates News
March 2023 Edition

I have significant news to share with you. After more than 30 years of strong financial leadership, our CFO, Don Freed is beginning his well-earned retirement. Taking Don’s place is a proven professional with a celebrated track record for optimizing and driving business growth, Tracy Golden. We’re incredibly honored to have Tracy join the Freed team. Her ability to make careful, informed financial decisions combined with her alignment with Freed values make her a great fit for our company, and for our clients.

A common thread that has been weaving throughout our clients’ conversations is the need to create a more equitable healthcare system. The work we’re currently doing and the discussions we’re having with everyone in our professional network are truly inspiring. One major thing we see is that many of our clients are not only complying with, but going beyond, the DMHC mandate for California Health Plans to begin collecting new equity and quality measures in 2023. Learn more by reading this article.

We also see that healthcare workforce shortages are exacerbating poor access to timely care. We had the privilege of working with a major California state healthcare department to develop a plan to help address one critically understaffed sector of healthcare. You can read more about this in our case study, Freed Creates Path to Address Healthcare Workforce Shortage.

Best,

Dava Freed
