Jonathan Saylors joined Freed Associates in 2021. Jonathan has significant experience in helping organizations strategically transform to focus more holistically on health while driving improvements in experience, cost and revenue for consumers, physicians and employees. He has worked with executives, boards and operational leaders to design and implement operating model changes, establish service line growth strategies, develop and implement digital experiences, and advance health equity.
Among his accomplishments is a financial repositioning project for a $3.5B net revenue hospital system in the Midwest. This project aimed to return the system to profitability through innovative growth that leveraged emerging technology and re-imagined primary care, behavioral health and the role of the hospital in a consumer-centric health model. In addition, for a $4B net revenue health system on the West Coast, he led a 10-year strategic planning initiative to shift the organization from a care delivery system to a consumer health and wellness business, including establishing and standing up a consumer business unit. Among its consumer programs was the design and testing of an artificial intelligence–driven smartphone app to reduce loneliness for seniors sheltering in place during COVID-19.
In his career, Jonathan has worked with national and regional health systems, academic medical systems, hospitals, medical groups, pharmaceutical companies and insurers. Jonathan holds a BA in economics and a BM in voice and opera performance from Northwestern University.
