“Imagination is more important than knowledge,” Albert Einstein once wrote. I believe Einstein meant we have to let our minds free to be creative and to think outside of the box. It is the imagination that forms new ideas, or images or concepts. Knowledge is important and comes from imagination, as well as from research, experience and learning. The key is applying both imagination and knowledge in appropriate measure. This month’s newsletter highlights the comingling of imagination and knowledge. We speak to how in health care, large-scale project success can be achieved by artfully engaging others, not just by following prescribed steps. We show how creativity helped an HMO comply with a commercial risk adjustment program. We conclude with an invitation to review a new Freed Associates white paper highlighting the tremendous business potential of blockchain technology in health care.As always, we welcome your questions and insights. Best regards, Contact Dava
